A Social Enterprise
"Businesses with primarily social objectives whose surpluses are principally reinvested for that purpose in the business or in the community, rather than being driven by the need to maximise profit for shareholders and owners." (Social Enterprise Coalition - The Voice of Socail Enterprise)RECYCLE NOT LANDFILLWhen a recycled bike that has been donated or gifted to On Your Bike, we will give £3 to a local community project or chairty, when that bike is found a new home.
Mobile Service at your Home or WorkWe are committed to providing a comprehensive service to local cyclists. If your cycle is in need of servicing, minor repairs or you simply can't get to a bike shop - we are here to help. We will attend your chosen location and will carry out the work you require on site or take it back to our workshop. We recycle as many of the bike parts as we can. Most bikes need to be serviced once a year to ensure they are at least safe. They will last longer and be a better ride if we do at least our Tune-up Service. Full & Premium are appropriate if you are a regular user or you have a valuable bike or you just want it kept in the best condition possible. AT WORK Recycle / Reuse
The largest selection of used bikes in the West Country! All our bikes for sale are used ones they have been bought from known sources or given to us to recycle. We will give the bikes at least the Full Inspection Check in order that they are safe and ready to use. You come and select the bike you want for our ever increasing collection and we will then recondition that bike for you (if it has already not been refurbished) adding any accessories you require. We will accept your old bikes; in whatever condition whatever age and either use the parts on other bikes we can then recycle (except brake pads, unless they are in mint condition). We will recycle through local authority any part we can not reuse for scrap but sort those parts as required into plastic, steel, aluminum, tires etc. The On Your Bike mission has 3 interrelated parts: 1. To recycle and sell bicycles at prices that most people can afford to buy them and support this with a mobile repair and servicing service. 2. To promote community cohesion through: o The promotion of health benefits and safe cycling. o Training and employing disadvantaged people. o Promoting training and education courses that are based on the core recycling processes (bike maintenance, diplomas in bike technology, sustainability and/or sport). 3. To operate on a sustainable financial basis by expanding the sale of bicycles to support the development of cycle transport schemes and organisations that promote cycling to their staff.
Our 100% satisfaction Guarantee:If your bike does not suit your needs after one week and if you let us know (within that week) via email or phone, we can either make the improvement/adjustments/repairs you need to the bike, or you may trade for full value to another bike we have in stock. Please, just take care of it in the meantime! We sell reconditioned, used bicycles for commuting, recreation or just for trips around the local area. Our bicycles are cleaned, tuned-up, quality-checked and guaranteed. City & Guilds Institute bike mechanics
